Solid-state Batteries
Solid-state batteries are pivotal for the next generation of energy storage, offering a transformative leap in both safety and energy density over conventional lithium-ion systems.
Driven by this potential, my research focuses on:
- Unlocking the atomistic mechanisms behind fast ion conduction in inorganic solid-state electrolyte materials;
- developing and characterizing novel composite electrolytes that combine the fast ionic transport of inorganic conductors with the flexibility of ionically active polymers; and
- unraveling lithium exchange dynamics at solid-solid interfaces.
